FHCA’s Risk & Compliance Council members have strategically reviewed a percentage of surveys from the last three years including trends and 2567s, that have resulted in citations F600, F609, and F610. Specific trends and 2567s were reviewed. Hear about these citations and how to identify risks, specific investigation techniques, and other strategies to reduce and prevent these citations while protecting your residents.

About the Presenter

Robin received her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Florida State University in Speech Pathology. Robin’s career has focused on post-acute care initially in Therapy Services. In 2002, Robin became a Healthcare Risk Manager and has focused her efforts on proactive and response driven Risk Management. Robin is the Vice Chair of the FHCA Risk and Compliance Council. Robin is currently the Chief Risk Officer for Lilac Health Group supporting 38 Centers across Florida.

Kendra Ferrero

VP Administrative Services | Onyx Health

About the Presenter

Dr. Kendra Ferrero is currently the Vice-President of Administrative Services for Onyx Care Centers. Dr. Kendra Ferrero is a multi-state licensed RN board certified in Gerontology She also holds an active Nursing Home Administrator license in several states. She earned her MBA from Warner University and her Doctorate degree with a specialty in Health Care Administration from Northcentral University. She has worked in the post-acute environment since 1977. She has been involved in the delivery of educational presentations in skilled nursing since 1984. She is the chairperson for the Professional Development Committee for FHCA. She also sits on numerous other FHCA committees. She is a Senior Examiner for AHCA/NCAL Quality Program. She is a Certified Risk Manager and has a passion for the skilled nursing environment, ensuring quality care is provided to the residents/patients.
