Session Summary
Research from the University of South Florida's SAFEHAVEN II grant will be used to describe the challenges facing assisted living facilities in emergency situations and lessons learned from administrative staff. These include results of analyses concerning the effects on residents, including mortality and emergency department use after Hurricane Irma, and results of interviews with 90 administrative staff from facilities of varying size, type and locations concerning hurricane and pandemic preparedness.Presenters
