Session Summary
The Florida Electronic Health Records Exchange Act (408.051) requires skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) with certified health record technology to participate in the Florida Health Information Exchange (HIE), supporting seamless data exchange and high-quality care. For over a decade, the Florida HIE has connected providers statewide, enabling secure clinical data sharing. In 2026, the HIE has advanced its mission through a transition to CRISP Shared Services (CSS), offering expanded services, broader data sources, and new functionalities. This session will showcase Florida HIE?s role in daily operations and its evolution toward next-generation interoperability solutions that enhance care coordination and improve patient outcomes.

Pamela King, MBA, CPM, PMP is the Manager for Florida's Health Information Exchange with the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). Pam has over 30 years of experience in the areas of health care administration and health information exchange. Her current focus is predominantly on strategic planning and adoption of technology within healthcare. She is responsible for administering the Agency's Florida Health Information Exchange and other programs within the Florida Center for Health Information and Transparency
