Session Summary
In this session, attendees will learn how to evaluate the existing activity/recreational program and identify areas for needed attention and improvement. Ideas for building a strong confident team along with a variety of creative programming ideas for use will be presented to kick your program out of the past and into the new frontier. The ideas presented are adaptable to a variety of medical diagnoses and functioning level.

About the Presenter
Judy Skilton holds a BS from CT State College and has worked and served as a teacher in various settings throughout career. Judy has been certified for the past 8 years to teach through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) the CDP curriculum to many service areas. Judy also teaches the AGE-U-CATE "Dementia live Simulation Experience and The Second Wind Dreams Virtual Dementia Tour. She is a certified consultant through NCCAP, and Montessori Dementia Engagement certified. Judy has developed a nationally award-winning volunteer implemented program entitled "Caring Touch," as well as developed and published a variety of educational games for persons with special abilities. She is a member of the Council on Elder Affairs PAW 2 with the Alzheimer's Dementia Initiative. She resides with her husband of 28 years in Hernando Beach, Florida.
