Please join us for a combined session designed to both inform and honor attendees. The FHCA Government Affairs team will provide a recap of Florida’s 2025 legislative session and the impact it will have on long term care providers across the state. In addition to the legislative update, we will recognize our distinguished care centers who have received national and state awards, as well as the recipients of our 2025 scholarships, and celebrate their remarkable accomplishments as they take center stage.

About the Presenter
Emmett Reed, CAE, has served as CEO of FHCA since 2009, where he is also the appointed CEO of the Association’s advocacy partner, Our Florida Promise. Reed also serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Affiliate of State Health Care Association Executives (ASHCAE) Board of Directors and is a member of the American Health Care Association’s national advocacy group, the Council for Post-Acute Care (CPAC).In 2022, Reed was recognized by Influence Magazine as an industry leader and one of the Most Influential People in Florida Politics and City & State Florida ranked him in the top 12 among Florida's Healthcare Power 100.
