Session Summary

This session will include a discussion of the Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) November 2024 Industry Segment-Specific Compliance Program Guidance for skilled and other nursing facilities. There will be a specific focus on quality of care and quality of life, including discussion of nurse staff hours. The presentation will also include the new minimum staffing requirements promulgated in April 2024, including exceptions to the minimum staffing requirements. Practical application of the OIG's Compliance Program Guidance and planning for increased nursing staff will be included in the presentation.
