About the Presenter

Ashley Simmons is a dynamic professional with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, rooted in meaningful innovation and problem-solving using big data and emerging technology. Her operations and strategic business development background assist her in continually excelling across healthcare and systems roles. Leading clinical and medical professionals in achieving quality outcomes to meet CMS 5 Star and Leap Frog ratings. Examples include increasing bed capacity, improving patient outcomes and experience scores, and reducing inpatient readmissions. Her experience and unique skillset have allowed her the opportunity to be featured by media outlets, including Bloomberg TV, Innovation Leader, and Forbes, and she has spoken and moderated at prominent industry events such as SXSW and HIMSS. Ashley graduated from the University of Central Florida, receiving her bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and her master’s degree in business administration. Ashley is also a Certified Healthcare Quality Professional and a Master Blackbelt in Lean Six Sigma.

About the Presenter

As an Attending Physician, Andres provides quality patient care to diverse populations exclusively in the Post-Acute Care industry, long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living settings. For the past 7 years, he has built a proven track record of improving patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety, as well as collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Andres strongly believes that doing ordinary things extraordinarily well will take their team a long way and ultimately will benefit their patients. If they as a team, share the philosophy of caring for others and bringing the best to their daily decisions by being intentional about their actions, then optimal care is guaranteed. He holds an MD degree from Universidad de la Sabana in Bogota, Colombia and post Doctorate and Residency from New York University, where he gained valuable skills and knowledge in Internal Medicine, Project Management, and Patient Assessment. He is passionate about advancing the field of Post-Acute Care and enhancing the quality of life of his patients. Mark Britton, MD

Dr. Mark Britton, a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, is extensively trained in translational hypertension research, internal medicine, and clinical internships. A dedicated member of professional societies, including the American Heart Association and the American College of Physicians, Dr. Britton has been recognized as one of "America's Top Physicians" by the Consumer Research Council of America. Dr. Britton is passionate about medicine and improving outcomes in the post-acute community, he focuses on reducing re-hospitalizations through quality care. He also works closely with staff, patients, and families, always prioritizing patient-centered care.
