Session Summary
This session will discuss how decreased mobility is the primary cause of falls and an overall deterioration in the health of residents. This session will also discuss exercise and restorative nursing programs that prevent falls by enhancing mobility, balance, strength and endurance of residents. It will describe how to set up an environment to help promote safe mobility.

About the Presenter
Jeri Ann Lundgren RN, BSN, PHN, CWS, CWCN, has been working in long term care since 1990, specializing in wound care nationally since 1994. She is board certified as a CWS (Certified Wound Specialist) by the American Board of Wound Management and a CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse) by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Society. Her extensive background in wound management in long term care nationally includes survey management, litigation support, wound care consultation, program development, clinical expert for several state Quality Improvement Organizations and Departments of Health. Her background also includes four years as a Director of Nurses in a long term care center. Currently, Jeri is the President of Senior Providers Resource.
