Admission preparedness is reframed as a critical plot twist that can change how the entire story unfolds both clinically and financially. Using real-world case studies, presenters will contrast successful transitions across the continuum of senior living options. Attendees will step into the director's chair to actively examine problematic transitions, uncover what went wrong, why it mattered, and how different decisions could have reshaped the outcome. By the end of the session, participants will leave with practical strategies to strengthen admission and discharge readiness, reduce avoidable surprises and ensure residents' transitioning between settings are positive experiences.

About the Presenter
Landa Stricklin takes her position as an educator seriously and is always eager to share the knowledge she has accumulated over the course of her 35+ year career. Her mentees appreciate her ability to take complex rules and simplify them - without sacrificing any valuable details. As someone who is extremely vested in her team, her greatest accomplishments are the successful careers she has helped nurture over the years. Having worked at both the facility and corporate level Landa has assisted facilities graduate from the Special Focus List with only 1 citation and through a Corporate Integrity Agreement. Having built the education for and implementation of the PDPM across 200 facilities she is prepared to assist you in meeting clinical and financial goals.

About the Presenter
Prior to joining Richter, Jessica dedicated a decade of her career to PointClickCare, a leading electronic health record (EHR) software provider specializing in solutions for long-term care and senior living communities. In her roles as a customer success manager and financial software consultant, she learned that the road to effective outcomes begins with strong relationships -not only with her clients but her internal project team. With a strong understanding of industry challenges and a deep appreciation of technology, she contributed to the development and enhancement of many system upgrades and new releases. She is passionate about helping her clients capitalize on system capabilities and optimize existing workflows so they can prioritize resident care. Jessica has also worked as an accounts receivable supervisor at a large senior care organization, where she was responsible for developing processes and implementing strategies to increase financial accuracy and reduce receivables.
