Session Summary

Sometimes residents in assisted living facilities develop infections that require implementing transmission-based precautions and may lead to outbreaks. Outbreaks may occur due to scabies, norovirus, or respiratory illness, and response actions will vary depending on the pathogen's mode and source of transmission. This session will discuss the CDC's three categories for transmission-based precautions, how to implement them, and strategies for stopping outbreaks.
