Session 13 | Using CoreQ and AHRQ Surveys to Drive QAPI Action
Time: 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Type/Topic: Quality/Person-Centered Care Practices
Session Summary
Florida long term care providers are navigating a shift in how survey data is used to evaluate performance, support reimbursement, and demonstrate quality improvement. CoreQ satisfaction surveys and AHRQ Patient Safety Culture Surveys are now required on an annual and biennial basis, with CoreQ results increasingly tied to Florida's Medicaid Quality Incentive Program (QIP). This session focuses on executing these requirements, including key timing, oversight responsibilities, and how to ensure survey processes produce reliable, actionable results. Attendees will gain clarity on expectations, common challenges, and strategies to improve participation and data reliability. Presenters will outline a framework for managing survey cycles, interpreting results, and translating findings into meaningful QAPI initiatives, including a 30/60/90-day approach to ensure results are reviewed, prioritized, and turned into consistent, defensible action.
