1. What exactly is an “online auction?” While the items will be available to view at the event, all bidding is done online through our online auction platform. To participate, you will need to first create an account, which is found here, then start bidding on items you are interested in! The latest bidding price is online instead of on a hand-written sheet. It is similar to buying on eBay and very easy!

2. When is the Online Auction? The FHC PAC Online Auction will open in mid-July, at 12:00 pm. Bids may be entered online at that time. During the FHCA Annual Conference, items may be viewed in person during trade show hours, Monday, July 14, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and Tuesday, July 15, from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. The Online Auction will close at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15.

3. How is the Minimum Bid set? The minimum bid is typically ½ of the value of the item.

4. How do I bid on items in the Online Auction? Once you have registered, click on the item you are interested in and place your bid. By bidding, you are stating that you agree to purchase that item for your bid amount, plus any shipping items disclosed in the listing. If you are outbid, or your bid does not meet the seller’s reserve price, you have not won the item and are under no obligation to buy. But in all other cases, you are entering into a contract with the seller to buy the item and deliver payment upon close of auction. If you cannot pay, on time, please do not bid. Your bids are final and non-retractable.

5. Who can bid on items in the Online Auction? Anyone can bid on items! You do not have to be a member of the FHC PAC or FHCA to participate in the auction, nor do you need to be a registered conference attendee to participate. In other words, in addition to yourself, your sister, best friend, college roommate or neighbor can bid and win items in the auction.

6. What happens after the auction closes? At the close of auction, if you are the winner of the item, you will receive an email and/or text message indicating what you won. All items won in the online auction will be charged to the credit card on file. Winner must pick up their item on the specified date and time. No items will be shipped.

7. How do I pay for what I win? All items purchased through the online auction platform must be purchased with a credit card.

8. How do I pick up my item? Can you ship? All items won in the online auction will be available for pickup from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15. All winnings will be charged to the credit card on file. Items will not be shipped and must be picked up by auction winner.
