Session 42 | Elevating Quality in Florida’s Nursing Centers Using the Baldrige Framework

Session Summary

The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, based on the Malcolm Baldrige for Performance Excellence (Baldrige), is a three-level progressive program (Bronze, Silver, Gold) that recognizes providers committed to quality. The Baldrige framework calls for an integrated quality management system using data to make fact-based decisions while deploying systematic processes across six categories: leadership, strategic planning, customers, data measurement/analysis, workforce and operations. The session will demonstrate how the integration of these areas can improve clinical and financial outcomes in Florida's nursing centers.
