Session Summary

Thanks to the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM), value-based programs continue to gain dominance over traditional fee-for-service throughout the entire care continuum. As such, value-based contracting is critical to the ability of skilled nursing centers to establish themselves as essential entities, making non-participation no longer an option for those wishing to preserve clinical and financial integrity with health care partners. Identifying and establishing proactive strategies allow skilled nursing centers additional bargaining power when negotiating and performing under value-based contracts with both hospitals and payers.
