Do nursing centers have an image problem? Attendees will answer this burning question and learn strategies to broadcast their positive stories to the masses. From story retrieval and creative packaging to cultivating positive relationships with local media, attendees will learn to leverage Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and digital media to change the nursing center narrative.Presenters

About the Presenter
Kristen Knapp, APR, CPRC, is a seasoned communications and public affairs professional with over 30 years of experience. As the Senior Director of Strategy and Communications for Florida Health Care Association, she manages the association’s marketing and membership communications, public relations programs and digital strategy. She acts as the primary media spokesperson and oversees all FHCA press activities, including counseling and coaching long term care providers on media relations. Knapp also manages FHCA’s Florida Leaders program and workforce initiatives, including the federally-funded CaregiversFL Career Program which focuses on raising awareness about and recruiting job seekers to the long term care profession. She is a Certified Association Executive and Certified Public Relations Professional and holds an Accredited in Public Relations (APR) designation. She is a past Capital Chapter president of the Florida Public Relations Association and is also a Florida Veterans Foundation Board Director, serving as the communications counsel for the statewide lead organization for Florida veterans and their families.Luke Neumann
